Handcrafted Woodfired Wabi Sabi Teapot (wood ash glaze)

This small teapot is beautifully handcrafted in Jingdezhen, China. It was made with special clay in Jingdezhen that naturally brings grounding and cleansing energy. The mat finish of this glaze resembles the hues and textures obtained from wood firing. 

Wood Ash Glaze — The glaze is made from a special mix of organic ash from burning wood and herbs at high temperatures. After repetitively washing, refining, and drying the ash, it is used to apply on the exterior of the teacups for glazing. The colors and patterns are randomly formed by the power of fire, giving the cup the beauty of simplicity and perfection of imperfect by nature. Therefore, each teacup is one of a kind.
